I had no idea how to find love …
I grew up in a family that tried very hard but there were a lot of challenges – abuse, addiction, depression, disability.
I knew I was loved and my parents did the best they could. But, I didn’t get to see what a good relationship looked like — where people treat each other with love and respect.
So I really struggled. I had to “guess” at what a normal relationship looked like and my “guesses” didn’t work out so well.
My first marriage was brief and ended in divorce. I knew I needed help and I’m so grateful I found it.
I got help and I love helping you
I found a really good therapist. I attended relationship groups and seminars. Slowly I began my journey toward a healthy relationship.
At times it was scary, learning to let someone get that close to me. But I’ve discovered with the right person, love can be safe, and comforting, and FUN!
And that’s what I want for you too!
The research says it’s important for your therapist to have a good healthy relationship. Because, “you can’t give what you don’t have.” How can I help you find love if I can’t figure it out for myself?
